Correlation of Science with History
Humans require a lot of resources for daily activities .Natural resources can be classifieds into exhaustible and inexhaustible natural resources. The exhaustible natural resources are formed from dead remains of living organisms (fossils) and these are known as fossil fuels. One of them is coal.During the teaching learning process of the chapter COAL AND PETROLEUM for std. VIII , the teacher can correlate the subtopic coal with the history of how coal is formed by a process that happened 300 million years ago.
Correlation of Science with Geography
Biosphere reserves are the areas meant for conservation of biodiversity. We have many biosphere reserves throughout India. During the teaching learning process of the chapter Conservation of plants and animals for std. VIII, the teacher can show a map of India indicating the different regions where biosphere reserves are present . For example. Great Nicobar biosphere reserve and Tiger reserves etc.
Teacher can also show some national parks and wildlife sanctuaries that are present in different states of India.
Correlation of Science with Music.
Megaphones, horns, musical instruments are all designed to send sounds in a particular direction without spreading it in all directions.
During the teaching learning process of the chapter Sound for class IX, the teacher can explain the uses of multiple reflection of sound by stating examples of musical instruments such as trumpet and Shehanais alongwith a live demo.
